Returns/Refund Policy

At Hallam & Sons, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with every timepiece or jewellery item purchased.  To facilitate a seamless shopping experience, we have outlined our Return and Refund Policy below:

1)  14-day return Window:

We offer a 14-day return window from the date of purchase.  If, for any reason, you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you may initiate a return within this timeframe.

2)  Condition of the Item:

To qualify for a return, the item must be in its original condition with no additional signs of wear, damage, or alteration.  Ensure that all original packaging, documents, and accessories are included.  If the item is not in the same condition, we reserve the right to refuse a return, or make an appropriate deduction.

3)  Return Process:

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at contact@hallamandsons.com with your order details and reason for the return.  A member of our team will then contact you and guide you through the return process.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

4)  Inspection and Approval:

Once we receive the returned item, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets our return criteria.  If approved, we will process your refund promptly using the original payment method.

5)  Refund Timeframe:

Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.  The processing time may vary depending on your financial institution.

6)  Non-Refundable Items:

Customised or engraved items are non-refundable, as they are specially crafted to your specifications.

7)  Shipping Costs:

All shipping expenses are non-refundable.  In cases where free shipping was applied to your order, the actual shipping cost incurred by Hallam & Sons will be subtracted from your refund.  For returns within the UK, items must be dispatched via Royal Mail Special Delivery and be fully insured to the value of the purchase price paid by the customer.  Returns from outside the UK should be handled through reputable couriers such as FedEx or DHL, with the package fully insured to the products paid value.  A tracking number must be provided and signature on delivery required for all returns.  Any import fees / taxes applied by customs on entry back into the UK will also be subtracted from your refund.

8) Restocking fee:

Hallam & Sons reserves the right to apply a 3% restocking fee to all returns.

9)  Damaged or Defective items:

In the rare occasion that you receive damaged or defective items, please contact us immediately.  As the buyer, it is your responsibility to inspect the parcel for any signs of damage before signing for it.  If the delivery packaging shows visible damage, ensure that the courier records it as such.  Take photos of the damaged parcel before opening it.  If the item inside is also damaged or defective, capture clear images of the affected areas and preserve all original packaging, as this visual evidence is crucial for processing your claim.  Contact us immediately to arrange for the return of the damaged or defective items.  Once we receive the damaged or defective items and inspect the evidence provided, we will proceed with arranging a replacement or issuing a full refund, inclusive of shipping costs.

10)  Exchanges:

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted and refund given, make a separate purchase for the new item.
